Welcome to ESIL

Welcome to the website of the European Society of International Law. Planning for the creation of the ESIL has been underway since 2001 and those efforts have now come to fruition with the holding of the Society’s Inaugural Conference in Florence in May 2004.

The aim of both the Society and the Conference is to be as inclusive as possible and we warmly welcome the participation of all those with a commitment to the furtherance and study of international law. On this website you will find details of the opportunities that exist for active involvement in both the Society and the Conference.
