ESIL Inaugural Conference: Scholarships
The ESIL is pleased to be able to offer up to 50 scholarships to facilitate participation in the Inaugural Conference of the Society.
Scholarships will be available to any participant selected to present a paper in one of the Agora Sessions of the Conference
(Agora Sessions of the Conference).
Priority will go to doctoral and graduate students at European universities who are unable to obtain institutional or other support to enable them to participate in the Conference and to scholars and students from Eastern and Central Europe with a clear need for financial assistance in order to participate.
Scholarships holders will receive:
- Free Registration at the Conference
- Free participation in all of the Conference meals and receptions
- Up to a maximum of €300 towards the cost of travel by the cheapest available means to Florence
- An accommodation subsidy of €50 per day (equivalent to a twin-share room)
To apply for an ESIL Scholarship, please submit the following additional documents along with your application to participate in one of the Agora sessions.
- A letter explaining your reasons for applying for a scholarship
- A reference letter from a professor/employer
